Tux (Linux mascot) Source file: Tux Mono https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Tux_Mono.svg https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/3a/Tux_Mono.svg Authors: gg3po and Iwan Gabovitch. "Tux Mono" is a flattened, colourless version of "New Tux" by gg3po (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:NewTux.svg), which is itself based on the original Tux by Larry Ewing (lewing@isc.tamu.edu), made with The GIMP (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Tux.png). License: GNU General Public License https://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.html Attribution is required. The file served at /assets/tux.svg is the editable source form of the image; it may be redistributed under the same license. Modifications made for this site: - Flattened to a single colour (#456387) so the icon matches the Windows and macOS platform icons on the download page. The light areas (belly, face, feet, eyes) are knocked out through an SVG mask instead of being painted white, so the icon sits on any background. - Removed the leftover gradient fills, hairline construction strokes and Inkscape editor metadata from the original file. No outlines were redrawn. Original copyright notice for the underlying artwork, from Larry Ewing: Permission to use and/or modify this image is granted provided you acknowledge me lewing@isc.tamu.edu and The GIMP if someone asks.
